MK vs DC Universe - Image 1Ed Boon, one of the creators of the Mortal Kombat series, recently spoke about the upcoming Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) where he revealed that all the characters will be getting finishing maneuvers. He also announced that the game will be shown at this year’s E3 and gave out information regarding what content they plan on unveiling.

In an interview with GameSpot UK, Boon mentioned that every character will be getting finishing moves, however, they won’t necessarily be fatalities. If you’re wondering why this is the case, here’s what he had to say:

All of the MK characters and all of the DC villains will have fatalities. The DC heroes who don’t kill that often will have brutalities that will function just like fatalities but don’t actually kill the opponent.

Moving on the second tidbit of info that caught our attention. Boon has confirmed that more of the game will be unveiled at E3. He said that they plan on showing off four characters as well as two arenas. While he didn’t give any specifics, we can’t help but hope that the arenas and characters don’t include those already revealed in the trailer – just so, y’know, we see something new this time. Oh well, I guess we’ll find out when E3 arrives this year.
