Elementalist improvements in Nightfall

Isn't the Elementalist oh so pretty?Guild Wars Elementalists are pretty much known for their AoE (Area of Effect) prowess. These nukers have the ability to cast fire storms and meteor showers from afar, making them important allies if you plan to slow down your opponents first before going on an all-out attack.

Well in Nightfall, these guys will be getting a facelift of some sort regarding their skills. What are these improvements? Let’s take a look:

  • Storm Djinn’s Haste: According to our source, “this will likely replace Windborn Speed”. Why? Basically because this skill has better duration and cast time. However, it takes up 1 Energy per second and its only restricted to the caster, so it can’t be used on fellow teammates in need of a quick escape from opponents.
  • Stoneflesh Aura: This skill makes the caster immune to critical hits, which makes a good defense skill to Elementalists open for attack.
  • Blinding Surge: This one causes Blindness and decent damage comparable to the Ether Prodigy/Blinding Flash combination.

Also, it was reported that in Glowstone and Glowing Glaze, Elementalists  “gain some non-elite Energy management besides Glyphs and attunements”. Hmmm…. more energy = more skills to cast = more damage. Sounds good.
