Elves against elves, why not? It’s the World of Warcraft!

World of Warcraft Forums - Coverage of what's hot over at the World of Warcraft community - Image 1A very hot thread just popped up at the World of Warcraft Forums, and it’s nothing near mind-boggling. Sutana, a level 56 Blood Elf Paladin, was wondering why one of her sub-race specific quests specified she had to make like Jackie Chan and down an army of High Elves just for one book. She ended up with the conclusion that “the Elven races sure are falling apart.”

After the whole showdown in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Elves have been pitted against their next of kin, and while it appears that the Blood Elves have broken off from the few surviving High Elves, they are constantly hostile against the other Elven sub-races.

But that’s not all: even the Undead war within their group, with breakaway Undead (and former Blood Elf?) Sylvanas Windrunner fortifying the Undercity against the rest of the demon-controlled Undead. Orcs are now split into warring tribes, who are now staining the ground with their brothers’ blood.

Heck, even the main Horde trolls and the Forest Trolls have hostile feelings against each other. Is this anything new? Well, not in the World of Warcraft. If everyone were united and at peace, it would be better of as World of Oneness, Kisses and Hugs All Around (WoOKaHAA for short).

(Then everyone could skip around, ride bunnies and trade teddy bears – all in a day’s work in WoOKaHAA.)
