EQ II Dev Chest: on Manashield issues and proc buffs
Heads up all you loyal Everquest 2 users, we’re back once again with today’s dev chest which brings us info on account age updates, Manashield issues, and proc buffs.
If you’re relatively new to Everquest 2, and have no idea what a dev chest is, it’s simply Sony‘s way of informing the members of the community about the recent relevant developments happening in the game. So yes, the dev chest consists of notes from the devs themselves. So anyhoo, for this dev chest, we have the following highlights:
- Kirstie gives an update about players having issues with their account age updating correctly.
- Darlion noted on the PVP forums that Manashield isn’t working properly. Archonix noted that it looks like a recurrence of a known issue and is being looked into. (Click on the read link for more info on this.)
- Aeralik clarifies that proc buffs have only worked on the main hand even prior to EoF to answer HaznPho’s question about when it happened.
- Chris Kozak, programmer of EQ2 says,
Poisons and other proc buffs have only triggered off the main hand for a very long time. EoF didn’t change that at all. It just added that one sentence to the descriptions to make sure people understood how they worked better. Secondary weapons will still trigger their own proc though just not buff procs or those of other items.
