Every Sunday is a Wii launch day?
We have had various reports about the availability of the Wii every weekends – there was this one report about Best Buy letting out Wii stocks on a Sunday, then there was that rumor about certain stores having more Wiis to sell on a particular Sunday, and of course, there are some people camping out on weekends in the hopes that they could get their hands on a Wii.
What’s with Sundays and weekends anyway?
Ars Technica has an interesting article about this. It seems that every weekend, specifically, every Sunday is like a Wii launch day – people waiting in line outside local Circuit Citys and Best Buys to get a Wii.
Some stores even have campers and they reported about this guy who managed to scoop up a Wii just to sell it for a much higher price. The article then mentioned that most of the people waiting in line amidst the freezing cold doesn’t harbor any ill feelings towards Nintendo.
But still, the writer admits that even if the Wii craze is “relentless, ruthless, and maybe even ridiculous”, it is not causing a considerable problem for Nintendo. Now, would you care to comment on this?
