Extended Kingdom Hearts 3 teaser…in Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix?
Some have speculated that the secret trailers at the end of every Kingdom Hearts game are what Square Enix has in store for the next chapters of this epic tale. While others would dismiss this as wishful thinking, the “secret trailer” at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix really got us thinking about its possibility.
Is this the path Square Enix plans on taking? The cartoony feel of the previous two (three if you count the release on the GBA) seems to have been replaced with a Final Fantasy-esque appearance. In addition, the story seems a bit darker, a bit more mature, a bit more serious. While watching the video (way back in 2006, we know) sent shivers down our spine, we wondered if this change might cause problems like what happened to the video game Prince of Persia.
PSU brought this video at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix to our attention again. And it’s true that this created more questions than answers. Where’s Sora? Was he the one walking through the dust or is he one of the three warriors? Is Sora even in Kingdom Hearts 3? Who are the two characters in the picture? You will see them in the extended trailer but not in the normal trailer we have at the bottom (uploaded by SorasNobodyXII back in June 2006). We’re still searching for answers, so if any of you can give any information on the game, feel free to help out the Kingdom Hearts community by letting others know what’s going on.
