Face detection in the PS3’s Portrait slideshow mode?

Here’s something interesting for all you PS3 owners out there. Someone who goes by the name digicam95 has just discovered something fun while checking out the PS3’s Portrait slideshow mode.

In the Portrait slideshow mode, images slowly zoom in and out, but the interesting thing he noticed about it is that “the region of the photo that is zoomed into is determined using some sort of face detection algorithm.”
