Facebreaker - Image 1We may know little about Electronic ArtsFacebreaker (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii), but it gets more interesting every time tidbits of detail surface. Now, we have something more juicy – a video of the game’s face rendering engine, which demonstrates a portion of the real-time facial deformation technology’s capability. Facebreaker (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii) can only be described as wacky, and Electronic Arts does a fine job in sending that point across. We know little about the cartoony game, but we can guess that it will be full of laughter. Such can be said after watching a rather random 20-second video of face rendering and cheesy lines.

Some boxing fans aren’t very happy about the fact that the next Fight Night title is nowhere in sight, but since its makers are developing an intriguing alternative such as Facebreaker, there’s a glimmer of hope. Just look at this Romeo guy, whose hair is unbecoming of a fighter in the ring yet seems to be the perfect type for showboating.

EA is undoubtedly serious about implementing its real-time facial deformation technology in Facebreaker, as we can at least see how flexible a character’s head is in the game. See it for yourself by watching the video below.
