Faceplates Got Your 360 Down?

One of our fans, Inferno52386 (gamertag), shot us an email regarding an unheard of problem. With his Xbox 360, he is having a problem with the stability of the box whenever he changes the faceplate. Quite odd. He notes that he is not sure if it is a hard drive problem or directly related with the faceplate, but here’s his dilemma:

When I first put everything together and put my new faceplate on, I booted it up for the first time, and my screen would flash on and off repeatedly. And nothing would happen. I couldnt get it to go to the dashboard. But then I picked it up and moved it, and It started working. I was boggled of course, but was ready to play games so just ignored it. Then today I bought a new faceplate. After removing the old one and putting the new one on, It started doing it again. So I kept trying to take it off and put it back on. So I replaced it with the one from before, and it turned right on…..Of course, again, very confused. Then I put the new one back on once more, and it didnt work again…

So then I pressed the button one last time and it finally booted up. But I noticed in the dashboard that My HDD was not present. No files or profile to be found. I tried reseting it to see if it would come back. But when it booted back up, I could not get the controllers to connect to it. So my last thought was to turn it off, and remove the HDD and put it back on. And I did, and now it works fine.”

Anyone else out there having similar or the same problems? Let us know! And thanks for the email Inferno52386 =)
