Famitsu centerfold scan beauties: Sophitia, Cassandra…maybe Voldo

Soul Calibur IV scan - Image 1

Famitsu scan time for the highly-anticipated sequel to everybody’s favorite weapon-based fighter, Namco Bandai‘s Soul Calibur IV (Xbox 360, PS3), and this time it features two of the most fantasized-about characters in the series – namely, sword-and-shield brawlers Sophitia and Cassandra. Well, make that three if you fantasize about Voldo, which would make you someone with very unique tastes.

Moving on. In this massive scan, we see that both Sophitia and Cassandra’s made the jump to next-gen quite gracefully, sporting new outfits as well as new hairstyles. And while we’ve always given the Soul Calibur ladies a healthy respect, liking them more for their skills and personality rather than their looks and…obvious assets, yours truly couldn’t help but  notice how both the featured girls received some upgrades that the Dead or Alive girls have been enjoying for quite a while.

Not that that’s a bad thing.

We also see that Voldo’s his usual flexible self, sporting some of the most eerie and uncomfortable-looking poses and stances in the game. It’s good to see that he’s still there – his unorthodox play style and unpredictable moves do mix it up with the usual sword slashes we see from most of the players.

Very eye-catching update on Soul Calibur IV indeed. Updates as we get them.
