Famitsu reveals Hajime no Ippo: Portable Victorious Spirits

Hajimme no Ippo Portable Victorious Spirits for PSP - Image 1One of the hottest anime/manga franchises that continue to stand the test of time is Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit outside Japan), and it’s up for another round. Famitsu‘s latest issue just revealed that Hajime no Ippo: Portable Victorious Spirits is coming to Sony PlayStation Portable.

Much like Hajime no Ippo‘s other iterations as a video game, Portable Victorious Spirits is packing a punch with over 40 characters making an appearance. By looking at the scan, we can safely assume that Ippo Makunouchi, Miyata Ichiro, Mamoru Takamaru, and the “Magician” Malcolm Gedo are in the roster. The story will progress through illustrations from the manga, which should make for an authentic experience for fans.

Hajime no Ippo: Portable Victorious Spirits is slated for a winter release later this year. Unfortunately, there is no word of the game reaching the west. Here’s to hoping XSEED Games picks this up like they did with Victorious Boxers: Revolution for the Wii.
