Famitsu scan reveals new character El Fuerte for Capcom’s Street Fighter 4

A logo for Street Fighter 4 - Image 1It’s interesting when a classic fighting series gets some new characters to mix it up with the old cast. Now that Crimson Viper and Abel have made their appearance in Capcom‘s Street Fighter 4, it’s time for El Fuerte to make his. Who is El Fuerte, you may ask? Find out in the full article after the jump.

It seems that most fighting games that involve bare-handed combat have at least one “Lucha libre“-type of wrestler. After all, the King of Fighters series has Ramon, and the Virtua Fighter series has El Blaze.

Capcom‘s Street Fighter 4, on the other hand, seems to have El Fuerte. Incidentally, El Fuerte shares a similar physique with the other male characters of Street Fighter 4: the seemingly steroid-enhanced muscular arms and legs.

Of course, a possible luchador (assuming that he is one) such as himself wouldn’t be complete without a mask to conceal his true identity. Admittedly, not much is currently known about El Fuerte; so much so that he seems to have been relegated to the lower right corner of the Famitsu scan pictured below.

Nevertheless, we expect that Capcom will be releasing more information regarding this new character as development on Street Fighter 4 progresses.
