Fatal Inertia Pre-E3 Buzz

Naming something as Fatal Inertia is lethal. Certainly, it stresses something high speed and something that could stop your breath for a second or more. So, with E3 just a breath away, the people behind Fatal Inertia, Lead Designer Michael Bond and Producer, Takazumi Tomoike, gave us a word or two about Fatal Inertia.

As we know, this game has been developed by KOEI, a company known for creating games with characters jumping up roofs and killing hundreds of people with one swing. Hence, many consider the release of Fatal Inertia as something new and quite risky for the company, especially that this is a racing simulation game. Michael Bond seems to be the man behind this game. He wanted to make a game that would appeal to the American market. It seems that racing games are more popular in America, hence with the birth of KOEI Canada, they thought that they too should consider creating games for this market. More so, he was a big fan of racing games, hence he just wanted to take a shot at making a game like Fatal Inertia.

Indeed, the experience of Fatal Inertia might just be palatable to the Americans. The game tries to emulate the arcade feel of racing in the PS3 console. Not a bad idea, especially with a console that can pretty much handle everything. More so, Bond adds that it was Katamari Damacy that actually inspired him to create the game. He spoke how Katamari’s simplicity as well as how everything seems to just get stuck on the ball was the very concept that they used to upgrade the vehicles in Fatal Inertia.

From the looks of it, it seems that Fatal Inertia is a great game to start your PS3 with. For one, the graphics are stunning. More so, the ride seems like taking you through a Star Wars movies. Hopefully, this Pre-E3 buzz is just the tip of the iceberg with regards to Fatal Inertia, and come E3 they could tell us how this is more than just intergalactic another racing game.
