FIFA ’07 for DS Gets New Features

EA wants to make use of the DS’ unique features and they’ve found an interesting way to do it. The DS edition of FIFA ’07 will allow you to create your custom chants. That’s right, you can whatever you want the crowd to say to your players by using the built-in microphone! After shouting your chat into the mic, you can add special effects to make it sound the way you want! It can be played back whenever you want!

In addition to chants, the touchscreen will allow you to pass the ball with a flick of the stylus. This looks similar to the system used in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. The problem is that reports about Mario Hoops seem to indicate that the touch controls don’t work too well. FIFA ’07 will be in stores October 3rd.
