Anyway, Square Enix has just committed to a new release schedule for the remake of the classic video game, and the new date to look out for will now be June 7 for Japan, and sometime in July for North America.

Aside from sporting improved visuals, a lot of in-game content have also been added. For example, the opening movie found on the PlayStation 1 (PSOne) version, and the extra scenario from the Game Boy Advance version made it to the re-make on PlayStation Portable (PSP). A new dungeon has also been added for players to explore and conquer.

On a related matter which was mentioned alongside this announcement, Square Enix also revealed the logo for the elaborate Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary project.
