Final Fantasy XIII sells over a million at day one
While I’m writing and you guys are reading, the Japanese are tucked comfortably in their gaming dens right now, playing Final Fantasy XIII. You’re not gonna see FF fans out in streets in Japan tonight…or this weekend. According to Square Enix, over a million copies of the game were sold during its first 24 hours.

You’re not gonna see FF fans out in streets in Japan tonight…or this weekend. According to Square Enix, over a million copies of the game were sold during its first 24 hours.
To quote the publisher’s statement, the number “exceeded one million.” That number doesn’t include the special edition Lightning PS3 packages, but there aren’t enough of those to merit a rephrase on that quote.
No one has to worry about shortage – Square Enix is making sure that there will be copies waiting once folks walk into the store.
