Five days after its official March 9 launch day, Final Fantasy XIII sold over a million units in the US, making it the fastest-selling out of all the Final Fantasy games. Apparently, flashes of lightning have made their mark among squalls and clouds, even topping them all in the sales department.

 

One possible reason for this success is that it’s the first time for the franchise to go multi-platform at launch, with Square Enix releasing the game for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.
