First UK PlayStation 3 owner says a mouthful

The first UK PlayStation 3 owner, Ritatsu Thomas, had a lot to say about his new console and its games. A self-proclaimed hardcore gamer, he is very happy about finally getting his hands on a PS3.  In an interview by Spong, he was able to give his take on the entire launch.

He gave a very interesting answer when asked about the PS3 launch. He said, “Yeah, well I was a bit disappointed when it first got delayed months ago. So IÂ’ve been waiting for it for a long time yeh. But IÂ’m not your typical hardcore Sony fanboy though – IÂ’ve got a 360 and a Wii as well!” He later added that the “price was not that much of an issue” for the PS3 launch.

So the first owner is not a pure Sony fanboy, it makes one think, doesn’t it? Anyway, he also gave his take on what games he would be picking up after the launch. He said, “Well, theyÂ’re giving us Resistance: Fall of Man for free – which is the only thing I really want for the PS3 at the moment.”

He made it clear that he wasn’t interested in the other launch titles although he would consider picking up MotorStorm if he had a few extra Quid. Another thing that caught our attention: if Mr. Thomas had to choose between an Xbox 360 or PS3 game release, he would pick the Xbox 360 game because of the “Achievement Points” system that the Xbox 360 has.

He was also asked about the Wii launch last year and he had this to say: “I was there as well. And I never got my Wii there. So this is my vengeance!”
