The mysterious monument known as Stonehenge - Image 1If you’ve grown tired of exploring the same variations of streets, tunnels and sewers in Hellgate: London, then this may pique your interest: Flagship Studios has officially announced that the Stonehenge hub will launch on January 21, 2008.

Set as the first installment in the ongoing Hellgate Chronicles, the Stonehenge area consists of an open, outdoor wilderness area different from the usual environments that Hellgate: London players have grown accustomed to. Flagship Studios has included the following features in this new update:

  • The Caste Caves –  Based on the four castes of enemies in the game, these dungeons serve as lairs for powerful overlords that players must defeat in order to advance.
  • Moloch’s Lair – This minion of hell carries some very unique items on his person – very tempting rewards for anyone who wishes to defeat him in combat.
  • The Wild –  basically  designed for large parties of players, The Wild consists of  three mini-raid areas that offer great risks, but great rewards as well.

Flagship Studios also has other goodies lined up for Hellgate: London players aside from those mentioned above. These include improvements to the game’s user interface, skill balance changes and a PvP dueling arena, among others.
