Just because you play the role of a pirate in Pirates of the Burning Sea, it doesn’t mean you have to act like one in real life. Flying Lab Software has noted several illegal transactions conducted by players who are either selling or transferring their gold across different accounts.
The developers are sanctioning account suspensions for anyone caught participating in these illegal activities. This was the announcement made on the official PotBS website by Community Envoy Aether.
He also encourages others who have any information regarding these real-life pirates to file a support ticket in-game or by notifying the developers on the PotBS support site. Flying Lab Software will be doing everything it can to ensure that fair play is preserved and that players will still be able enjoy the game.
Considering a huge aspect of PotBS hinges on the in-game economy, such activities could greatly affect the mechanics of the game and ultimately give players a hard time with the inflation of costs due to the saturation of gold in the market.
