Flying Labs Launches Pirates of the Burning Sea Website in China

China is home to some of the most fanatically devoted MMORPG players on the planet – 26 million of them, according to WoW project manager Hoyt Ma in a recent interview. Not only do they represent almost 3% of the country’s population, but many of them appear to spend more of their free time at it, foregoing meals and even sleep in order to keep slaying dragons. This has not escaped the notice of the government in Beijing, which has  enacted many laws and regulations affecting gameplay by private citizens, particularly those under the age of 18.

In any event, MMORPG fans in China can now keep up with the latest news on the upcoming and greatly anticipated Pirates of the Burning Sea, as Flying Labs Software has finally launched their official Mandarin-language website in that country. The new site will provide non-English speakers in China with the latest news and updates in their own idiom. People outside of China who would like to view the site out of curiosity or for educational reasons will need a special set of characters installed for their browser.
