Folklore video: Of summoning critters and yanking souls
Care for some Folklore action? This PlayStation 3 video game from Game Republic has been out in Japan for a couple of days now and of course, it’s only natural that we see more gameplay videos floating around the interwebs. Yup, we did find one over at Playsyde.
The Folklore gameplay video is in Japanese, though from what we can discern, it features how Keats and Ellen came to the Netherworlds (a portal opened when a beam from the lighthouse struck a tombstone). We also see Ellen’s type of gameplay, summoning different sorts of creatures to help her fight the other hostile creatures. The summoned creatures are momentary, however, especially the stronger, bigger types.
When you reach the middle of the video, you see Ellen entering a boss fight. She uses the usual tactic casters use – hit and run. We also see another Soul Yanking, where she literally wrenches the boss’ soul from its body (as the name suggests).
Anyway, we’ll quit the prattle and let you watch the video. Enjoy!
