Former Canadian Prime Minister takes up Wii boxing

Former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien revealed to Rick Mercer (see left) of the Mercer Report in their recent interview that he has taken up Wii Sports boxing along with other activities to stay healthy since his quadruple heart bypass operation last October.

According to a recent article documenting the last Mercer Report episode, comedian and television personality Rick Mercer got an exclusive interview with former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien at Harvey’s, a local burger joint in Canada. Through the duration of the interview, Rick Mercer found out that the former Prime Minister apparently plays Wii Sports Boxing.

When Mr. Mercer tried to discuss boxing on the Wii with the former Prime Minister, Mr. Chretien also surprisingly managed to show him up.

As it so happens, the interview was one of the first entertained by the former Prime Minister after his quadruple heart bypass surgery last month. To prove how well he has recovered, Mr. Chretien decided to “put the ticker to the test” by engaging himself in a series of activities, like Wii Sports boxing. And from the looks of it, he appears to be in tip top shape.
