Hint: it has something to do with the open beta. More on the power of prayer in the full article after the jump.

The god Crom from Hyborian mythology - Image 1The Good Book says to “ask and ye shall receive.” Funcom is asking MMORPG players to do exactly that with Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (PC, Xbox 360). The reason? The developer is giving away open beta keys, so if you’re interested, all you have to do is submit a beta prayer in order to become a beta player.

The rules are simple: write up a prayer to any Hyborian god of your choice and post it in the appropriate forum. Funcom will evaluate the beta prayers and award the writers of the best ones with an open beta key for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.

Only one entry per contestant is allowed. Funcom has also noted that it will not announce the winners of the said contest. The best prayer writers will instead receive the beta invitations in their forum account e-mail address.
