Based on reports on the Square Enix Party, we now know that Dissidia: Final Fantasy, is sort of a giant Final Fantasy fan-gasm. Yes, if you have very little interest in Final Fantasy, then Dissidia is definitely not for you, for one thing the game’s like Super Smash Bros., only Squeenix flavored.

Gamespot reports that during the Square Enix Party, a trailer for the new PSP game Dissidia: Final Fantasy played, and it featured Final Fantasy I characters duking it out with characters like Sephiroth and Zidane.

What’s annoying about all this – if you’re a fan – is that the game has yet to be given a release date, not even for Japan. Yes, you have to know when it’s coming out so you can fix your budget or something.

In related news, Kingdom Hearts II snippets were also shown during the presentation, and it was revealed that we’ll get more details about the next installment in the franchise come the 2007 Tokyo Games Show this September.

A new FF Versus XIII trailer was shown, an extended version of FFVII Advent Children (the new title has “Complete” added to it) will be made for Blu-ray, and several trailers for Before Crisis Final Fantasy VII and Dirge of Cerebus for mobile phones were shown.
