Gametart Direct sponsors Wii charity raffle

Gametart Direct's Wii Raffle

Cliche as it may sound, Christmas is still all about giving (despite the fact that capitalists impose on us the “Christmas is all about buying” mentality). May it be just giving up your place in line for a doting grandma who’s hell-bent on securing a Wii for her grandchild with leukemia, or giving people a chance to help and get a Wii for themselves as well.

That exactly is what Gametart Direct, “U.K.’s number one games rental service” is doing, with their Wii Giveaway promo. All you need to do is donate £ 1 to a registered charity, and you get to secure a raffle ticket through wiiraffle.co.uk.

The draw will be held on Wednesday (that’s the 20th of December), at four in the afternoon. The winner gets to bag a Wii before Christmas (as it will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery on the 21st), and will be notified via telephone at nine in the evening on the same day.

According to Rob Savin, Marketing Manager at Gametart Direct:

Everyone sold out of Nintendo WiiÂ’s extraordinarily quickly and now people are going to incredible lengths to get hold of one by Christmas. This raffle is the ideal way to give everyone a chance to get hold of a Wii by Christmas while spreading a bit of good will at the same time.
