GameTrailers aqcuires rights to ScrewAttack programming
For the frequent patrons of GameTrailers, we have some interesting bit of news. GT announced yesterday (Feb. 8) that they have acquired rights to gaming site ScrewAttack.com’s programming. With that said, expect ScrewAttack weekly specials to start running at the GT site.
On February 8, the day of the first premier, GT will host ScrewAttack’s “The Top Ten Coolest Video Game Characters” video segment, followed by a “Video Game Vault” special on Qbert for February 9, and finally “The Angry Video Game Nerd” for February 15. They will be airing exclusively on GT’s site for the first week, after which they will be accessible for viewing on both GT and ScrewAttack.
GameTrailers CEO Jon Slusser further said, “ScrewAttack has an incredibly passionate and dedicated fan base, and we are thrilled to bring its content to the global GT audience. Our partnership further demonstrates GTÂ’s commitment to being the best source of diverse video programming for gamers.”
ScrewAttack program director Craig Skistimas was equally happy with the acquisition, noting GT’s reputation for its quality videos and loyal fanbase. Make sure to catch up on the videos when they do air. Or, to get a grasp of what they do, check out some of our past coverage on their holiday escapades, their stand on Nintendo‘s ancient peripherals, and perhaps their past “Top Ten” discussions.
