We just got word that former gaming magazine editor John Davison has just opened up a new gaming website for parents. This particular website reportedly aims to be the “video games guide for parents” and was established due to the alleged proliferation of violent titles. This is what Davison had to say about the matter:

We wanted to provide a place where parents can turn to for neutral, objective information on the games their kids might want to play. We really believe that it’s the parents that should be controlling [what games their children play]. And the best way to do that is to tell them the facts so they can make the call.

John Davison is not at all a stranger to the video game industry. He used to be the editor of magazines EGM and the Official PlayStation Magazine for U.S. He also had a stint with UK magazine PC Zone before he eventually joined Ziff Davis. All in all, his experience in the business totals around 16 years.
