GC: LittleBigPlanet cardboard robot boxing gameplay video

There’s something to be said about Media Molecule‘s LittleBigPlanet – we’re just not sure where to begin. We could, perhaps, talk about the game’s cute and graphically-stunning visual style, or its quirky soundtrack. Of course, we can always talk about the game’s creative gameplay mechanic where you can literally create anything out of thin air and have that thing rendered in real time – and that’s just what this gameplay video update does, courtesy of the good people over at GameSpot and GC.

So what’s shown in this video? Just the simple fact that you can make ANYTHING you can think up in LittleBigPlanet and mess around with it, that’s what. In it, we see Lucky GameSpot senior editor Brian Ekberg getting some quality time with the game, playing alongside Media Molecule’s creative director, Mark Healey.

Using LittleBigPlanet‘s in-game creation menu, both Brian and Mark quickly make their own goofy-looking cardboard robot fighters, before having them duke it out. Things get hilariously messy from there on in – resulting in a full-out melee of cloned cardboard bodies and flailing cardboard. It’s really something to see, and I guarantee you’ll be enchanted with the game as soon as you see it in action – I know I was.

No more spoilers from us, enjoy the video!
