Originally, there were 3 HD DVD titles by Pony Canyon, 1 title by Toshiba Entertainment and 1 title by Shochiku slated for March 28. However on March 6, Shochiku announced a delay on its HD DVD title “Shinobi”. And today, following that, Pony Canyon and Toshiba Entertainment also announced that they are going to postpone their HD DVD titles to April.

The first wave of HD DVD titles was first slated for March 28. However due to the delay of the contract announcement of the copyright protection system “AACS”, some delay has been introduced to the schedule of the contract process, and at last lead to the delay of all the HD DVD titles.

On March 16, American Warner Home Video has also postponed 3 HD DVD titles that were slated for March 28 to April 18.
