George Harrison’s retirement leaked

George Harrison - Image 1It looks like Nintendo of America is headed for a drastic change in management. First it was a suspicious job listing that hinted at a replacement for NoA VP Perrin Kaplan and now an informant has leaked to Game Daily Biz that Senior VP George Harrison will indeed be leaving NoA.

Harrison will continue to be Senior VP for a while longer, helping with Nintendo’s transition to New York / San Francisco. No official announcement of the retirement has been made to the public as of yet. No official news also for fellow executives Kaplan and Beth Llewlyn.

Harrison joined Nintendo in 1992 as Director of Advertising and Promotions. It’s not likely we’ll find out where he intends to move to until an official announcement has been made if he is actually retiring. If rumors are true, it may be that the executives are leaving the company because of the company’s decision to move its headquarters. 90% of the company’s Sales and Marketing Staff have already decided not to make the move.
