Global Star Software confirms Carnival Games

Carnival Games on Wii this summer - Image 1A couple of days ago, we gave you a rumor alert as we found a listing over at rental and sales company Gamefly for a video game called Carnival Games. Global Star Software released an official statement today confirming the said title.

It turns out, Carnival Games is an exclusive venture for Take-Two as it is being developed by its studio Cat Daddy Games. As you all know, Global Star is another publishing title under Take-Two. The game itself will feature over 25 of the most popular games seen in midways and boardwalks like Clown Splash, Milk Can Toss, Nerves of Steel, Lucky Cups, Hoops, Day at the Races, and Dunk Tank.

Needless to say, winning each game has corresponding prizes that range from goldfishes to a giant stuffed animal twice as big as your character. Furthermore, these prizes are all upgradeable, and there are around 250 unique ones all in all.

There will also be rewards that can be used to customize characters, ranging from a pirates wardrobe to Viking horns. And if you’re the type who believes in the stars, the Great Swami machine can predict your future.

Global Star Software VP for Publishing Steve Lux commented:

The moment you step into Carnival Games you can almost smell the funnel cakes as you are greeted by the barker and the sights and sounds of a classic carnival. The game was built from the ground up to take full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii Remote.

Nintendo will showcase Carnival Games alongside other titles at the May Media Summit on May 22 and 23 in Seattle. The game will be priced at US$ 39.99 when it comes out this summer.
