Goozex goes full next-gen with PS3 and Wii games
Goozex, the online version of a video gamer’s garage sale, has added PS3 and Nintendo Wii games to its trading platform. Previously, the site only carried only current-gen and Xbox 360 titles in its library. It has expanded its list to include games for the two remaining next-gen consoles to meet growing customer demand.
Goozex is a peer-to-multi-peer trading company that offers an automated point system to provide a fair market value for used video games. These points can be used for buying other video games. Goozex members pay a dollar per transaction to use the site’s matchmaking service.
At the same time they can earn Goozex points that can be later used as currency for future trades. For example, a member can earn up to 100 Goozex points for sending out an old Game Boy title. A fairly recent Xbox 360 title can be worth as much as 850 Goozex points. The points earned can be used to pay for games.
Goozex expects a modest growth in the PS3 and Wii console trading because of limited hardware. But the company is optimistic. “We see the PS3 and Wii launches as exciting opportunities to grow our service and further promote our value proposition to save money on extremely high game prices,” said Goozex. The company expects many of its members to upgrade to the next generation console over the next 12 months. “Users will get great point values for their games that will allow them to get other next generation titles for only one dollar each.”
