Over at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, Sony decided to… well, ride the event by adding demo booths for Gran Turismo HD alongside some of the real-life counterparts of the cars featured in the game.

The Tokyo Auto Salon is an annual auto show for Japanese aftermarket companies, and has been known to attract up to 250,000 people at one time. So, to take advantage of such traffic, Sony then set up bucket-seat units which were equipped with HD monitors and GT FORCE Pro steering wheel controllers in order to provide a gaming experience which tries to get as close as possible to the real thing. People who took up Sony’s offer were then allowed to sample the “Time Attack” and “Drift Trial” modes of the game.
