First of, the ritualists. Ritualist, by nature is a versatile profession wherein its practitioners can play a number of roles ranging from damage dealers, to healers and support characters. But the most special thing about them are their spirits. If you are already at ease with playing a ranger character, then you can easily master the game as a ritualists. The two have certain commonalities, one of these similarities is that both their summoned spirits can function like traps.

But they are also different from each other. Just how different are ritualists spirits from that of the rangers? First of all, these minions are bound to the master’s will and can attack enemies, defend allies, or soak up damage meant for teammates. They can even steal life from opponents and dole health to comrades – which is perfect if you’re being clobbered by a mob or a powerful boss.

Then there are the assasins. Technically a melee class, the Assassin differs from the warriors since the new character has a few unique aspects that set it apart from its burlier Warrior cousin. First, the Assassin has increased energy regeneration which makes them more versatile. The biggest difference between this profession and other Guild Wars classes is the ability to Shadow Step which is a form of teleportation used to quickly cover the battlefield, sometimes to random places, other times to specific target locations. It is an effective tool for attacking a series of opponents as well as fleeing a losing battle. Now that’s a good combo.

The Guild Wars Factions people are somewhat urging their gamers to try out these two new characters aside from using the older choices of characters. It seems that Guild Wars gamers are still sticking to what they were used to instead of stepping out of their comfort zones. If you aren’t trying out these 2 new characters, you are definitely missing a lot.
