Halo 3 prices for Australia announced
While Halo 3 will be coming in three different packages ranging from “I’ve got the money from my mama!” to “Discount please?” the prices will not be following the originally proposed US$ 99.95 tag. Instead, they’ll be hiked up to US$ 129.95 and the answer to “Why?” follows.
One bonus disc will allow Xbox 360 owners to optimize their Halo 3 experience over their home theater set. Another bonus disc will sport all original Halo and Halo 2 cinematic sequences, complete with commentary, to prime the player on how far the story has gone just in case they’ve forgotten a few facts here and there. It will also include other additional content, exclusive only to the Legendary Edition, and the Spartan helmet.
The Limited Edition will come with the AV optimization disc and the game. The Standard Edition will just come with a copy of the game and a note detailing how Bungie wished you had more cash to blow. But Aussies may need deeper pockets than usual: the Legendary Edition will ship with a whopping price of AU$ 199.95 (US$ 159.93). The Limited Edition will arrive with a price of AU$ 119.95 (US$ 95.89), while the Standard Edition will sport a price totalling to AU$ 99.95 (US$ 79.86).
