Harvest Moon Heroes story and character details

Harvest Moon Heroes - Image 1Coinciding with the opening of Harvest Moon Heroes‘ official website, we have a few bits of game-related info for the Wii version of Natsume‘s farming RPG. Read on for more story and character details from IGN.

Your life as a farmer begins when you arrive on an island upon which is said to reside “a goddess and some mighty large trees.” Things aren’t looking good when you arrive, however. The goddess is gone, the trees are withering, and the island is losing its power. Your job is to “raise the seeds of hope” and help the goddess heal the island.

Once again, players start out with a nameless character. There are two characters to choose from: a guy and a girl. The male character loves nature and animals. He’s friendly, and will not stand for other people being in trouble. Sounds like Gon from Hunter X Hunter. The female character, on the other hand, longs for the farm life. She’s full of energy, and is a little boyish.

IGN says that the website also revealed a couple of additional characters: Mai, the daughter of the family that runs the inn, and Kotomi, the daughter of the family that runs the sewing shop. Both seem to be potential marriage candidates if you select to play as the male character.

Harvest Moon Heroes is slated for a December 31 release in Japan.
