Here’s some good news for gamers who haven’t been lucky enough to play any Harvest Moon game. Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is said to be heading over to the Wii. This is a remake of the Nintendo GameCube title which, while quite good, unfortunately didn’t get much attention except from fans of the series.

The gameplay is consistent with the previous iterations of the game with farming and raising livestock as a major part of it. If you’re new to the Harvest Moon series, a good description of this game is that it’s like The Sims only cartoonier and with tons of mini-games.

If it sounds too kiddy for you, give it a chance. We assure you that it does get as addicting as most hardcore games out in the market. Here are the features that will be in the Wii version of the game:

Features:

  • Cows, horses, sheep and many other animals
  • Buy farmland next to a river, a seashore or in a village
  • Plant crops, raise livestock, dig for gems or just fish
  • Beat your farming rivals in the fields and at the festivals
  • Unlock hidden multiplayer games
  • Interaction with town folk and even falling in love are major points of the game

Not a lot of information has been released by Rising Star Games on this title, so we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more news. While we wait for the next update, why don’t you check out some of the screenshots of the game?
