Parabellum is derived from the Latin saying si vis pacem, para bellum, meaning “if you want peace, prepare for war”. But what you’ve got to prepare for is Acony‘s Parabellum.
The story is frighteningly close to real life events – past and present – that it could run into a lot of potential controversy. The premise is that New York City is under siege by the extremist group Black November, threatening to detonate a thermonuclear bomb if all United States military forces don’t withdraw from the Middle East within 10 days. If their conditions are not met, the 20 megaton nuclear warhead will wipe out New York city off the map. As if that isn’t enough, nobody knows where the warhead is.
