Hotfixed: Thrall and Escape from Durnholde Keep quest now working

Thrall - with a mug like that, how can you resist saving him? - Image 1

The Caverns of Time: Escape from Durnholde Keep (this writer couldn’t help but note the quest’s eerie Prince of Persia-ish resemblance) is a quest where players can go back in time and save Thrall. It’s one of the history changing events in World of Warcraft and the Warcraft universe in general.

Anyway, it seemed that there were times when Thrall bugged out or the entire instance did. Sometimes Thrall got stuck somewhere and some players fixed it by sending mobs toward him. Anyway, Blizzard poster Eyonix announced earlier that they “pushed a hotfix which corrected an issue in Caverns of Time: Escape from Durnholde Keep, where Thrall would on rare occasions give incorrect text and halt the progress of the instance.”

The blue poster even commented on Thrall being stuck at some points of the instance: “I really do think we should’ve just given players the Foreman’s Blackjack when they entered the instance, instead of pushing the hotfix. I think a good smack could’ve gotten Thrall back to work!” Good idea. (Insert mutter here *Lousy slacking peons…*) Good thing it’s all good and working now, or Thrall might be in for some whacking.
