Hudson’s Mezase!! Tsuri Master makes Wii players go fish

Go FISH!

It’s not going to be an Xtreme fishing game, but the exclamation points definitely catch our interest. Nintendo’s new console will be getting another fishing game in the next few months, and we’re excited to see how it will do in Japan.

Hudson Soft is developing a game called Mezase!! Tsuri Master, which takes a more cartoony approach to the graphics but looks like it will maintain some interesting gameplay mechanics brought on by Rapala Tournament Fishing. Your Wiimote will act as your fishing rod, and you use the Nunchuk as the reel. To catch the fish, and you’ve got to wind the Nunchuk up like a fishing reel. You just have to be careful of punching someone with your controllers in this case.

Mezase!! Tsuri Master will be released in Japan on March 21 for Â¥5,040 (US$ 41). Let’s hope it makes its way to the US and the UK, because we could definitely use a fun new game to test our Wiimote skills on.

On another note: doesn’t the kid in the picture look like Mac from “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends?”
