Boasting remarkable ball control and depth, Hustle Kings is out to skewer old notions about simplistic pool video games with a chalky stick. “The amount of ball control is simply astounding, giving the player any and every shot option in the bookÂ…from masse shots to subtle swerves and tricky English, you can do anything to the cue ball in Hustle Kings that you can do around a real table,” said the game’s US producer, Aaron Orsak.
First seen at E3 2009, Hustle Kings reaped the benefits of being in a packed booth alongside the big-time PS3-exclusives – it got good audience, who also gave good feedback.
As a (formerly) avid pool player myself, I’d love a realistic pool game. Not to jump on the motion-control hype, though, but I really think that motion-control support and realistic integration would make this one shine. As for that, no details yet, but you can expect more to come in the next few months.
