It was way back in October when we first talked about Microsoft‘s tour bus called “Is Your Family Set?”. The tour, which started in New York, will promote ESRB awareness in 20 cities and will talk to parents, guardians, and caregivers about appropriate gaming fun for the little ones.

Now a few months later, what has happened to the awareness tour? A lot. They have recently touched down in Chicago wherein they visited the local James Jordan Boys and Girls Club and a Best Buy Store. Said Robbie Bach, the president of the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft, “we are unwavering in our commitment to address the genuine concerns of families about how to make interactive entertainment safer and more fun for our children”. Chicago was the 16th stop in the campaign’s 20-city nationwide tour which is slated to end its run on June 2007.

The campaign featured ways that parents can use to help limit their kids’ exposure to inappropriate video games and movie content by using tools such as the Xbox 360 Family Settings and Windows Vista Parental Controls. Of course, the ESRB ratings were also discussed.
