Japan October hardware sales: Xbox 360 exceeds Xbox sales
Looks like Japan is warming up to the Xbox 360. According to sales data from October, the console has sold more units than the original Xbox. The best selling platform still belongs to the Nintendo DS though, followed by the PSP and the Wii. The Xbox 360 follows after the PlayStation 3 and the PS2. According to Famitsu, DS Lite sales in Japan were helped along with the sexy Crimson/Black model while the Xbox 360 was helped by the release of the new Xbox 360 Elite model. It was probably boosted by the release of Halo 3 as well. The Xbox 360 has now sold a total of 474,000 units in total in Japan, while the original Xbox has sold 473,000.
