Japanese PC game Higurashi Daybreak being ported to PSP - Image 1The visual novel invasion on the PSP continues. We just got word that Japan will soon be treated to a port of the PC game Higurashi Daybreak from the publisher Alchemist. Even though this is going to be a fighting game, the franchise was based on a popular visual novel. Know more after the jump!

We are not sure if you are familiar with the Japanese PC game Higurashi Daybreak from the development studio Twilight Frontier. But if you are, then you will be glad that it is currently being ported to the Sony PlayStation Portable.

Higurashi Daybreak is actually based on the popular visual novel Higurashi no Naku Koro ni which was created by the company 07th Expansion. The game has been faithful to the novel as its development was assisted by the novel maker.

In its core, Higurashi Daybreak is a fighting game that sports a third person view. However, instead of having two fighters battle it out, the title is actually on 2v2 mode all the game. Each of the combatants can be played by humans or some may be controlled by AI.

There’s still no word if Higurashi Daybreak will ever reach international markets but the PSP version will be distributed in Japan by the publisher Alchemist. Just keep checking back here at QJ.NET in case we pick up some more updates.
