Japanese pre-order 300,000 copies of Hot Shots Golf 5
The newest addition to the hot Japanese golf franchise Minna no Golf 5, or Hot Shots Golf 5, is selling like hotcakes even before its release; about 300,000 Japanese have pre-ordered the game before its release date of July 26. A high pre-order rate would very well mean that they’ve got a million-selling game in their hands.
The news bit, released by Sony, means that the PlayStation 3 may eventually get all the love and revenue it deserves. It’s not a surprise: Hot Shots Golf Fore, it’s predecessor for the PlayStation 2, sold 1.7 million copies in Japan.
