The Japanese PSN’s Game Archives services is welcoming another Final Fantasy titles into its ranks. Final Fantasy, the first entry in the not-so-final franchise, is now available as a downloadable title for PSP and PS3.

Seeing as this is the PSOne Game Archives, this version of Final Fantasy is the PSOne remake. That means there’s no Soul of Chaos dungeon and no Labyrinth of Time. It does have Wonderswan-based graphics, art galleries, and a FMV intro though.

Another new entry for the Game Archives services is Farland Saga: Toki no Michishirube. While I can’t say that the latter will eventually see an overseas release, Final Fantasy‘s chances are better. Maybe sometime after Final Fantasy Tactics?

Those with Japanese PSN accounts can now download Final Fantasy and Farland Saga: Toki no Michishirube for JPÂ¥ 600 (US$ 6) each.
