One upped by Japan once again, we get to see more stuff that will most likely be in our dreams only. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 5 BioHazard 5‘s street date in Japan (March 5) will also see a simultaneous release of respective console bundles for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The PS3 bundle is quite… basic. Retailing for JPÂ¥ 48,980 (US$ 525), it’s got your 80GB PS3 unit, two DualShock 3 controllers, and a copy of the game. So what’s their perk? Well, aside from a cool box, the PS3 unit itself has the Tri-Cell logo (the new pharmaceutical company in RE5, and introduced towards the end of Degeneration). I find it rather classy – I love the matte finish there.

Meanwhile, the 360 bundle doesn’t have any RE logos or themes or skins on the console itself. It makes do with freebies instead. Dropping for JPÂ¥ 34,800 (US$ 373), the RE5 Xbox 360 bundle is composed of the console, a 60GB HDD, 48-hour Live Gold member trial card, a copy of the RE5 Deluxe Edition (collector’s tin, soundtrack, etc.), and other Xbox 360 peripherals. Perfect if you really want to make the most out of RE5‘s online co-op, huh?
