Jump Festa shows new FFXIII trailer behind closed doors

Square-Enix put on a show today at Jump Festa, a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation 3, Xbox360), too bad its with the Closed Mega Theater. It’s just like in TGS 2008, where they showed the Final Fantasy Agito XIII trailer, but eventually leaked, and now they’ve formally released it. We’ve got details as to what went on in that theater, read up on them after the jump.

Square-Enix put on a show today at Jump Festa, a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation 3, Xbox360), too bad its with the Closed Mega Theater. It’s just like in TGS 2008, where they showed the Final Fantasy Agito XIII trailer, but eventually leaked, and now they’ve formally released it.

The contents of this new trailer are rather vague at this point. This trailer supposedly features a male character who may have an unusual way of speaking, as well as an Asian-looking woman.

A new battle scene is in there as well, showing the seamless battle transition that we’ve been expecting. Snow and Lightning are shown kicking and punching while defending the Pigtails girl, who we now know is named Vanilla. Lightning shows her prowess with combinations of melee and shooting attacks. During this battle, they summon Shiva, who freezes enemies with her Ice Magic and then tramples over them in her “motorcycle form.”

It’s very likely that this trailer leaks like the one in TGS, so we’ll post it as soon as we get our hands on it. Check back with us here on QJ for more info.
