Kojima talks Super Smash Bros. Brawl with Sakurai

1

Hidechan Radio broadcasted live from TGS and with them in the studio is Super Smash Bros. Creator Masahiro Sakurai. Naturally, since Hidechan Radio is all about KojimaÂ’s sons, and since Snake is coming out in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, they canÂ’t help but grill the creator on what to expect for Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii.

Hosts of Hidechan radio just had to ask the first question “How’s the development of Smash Brothers?” Sakurai replies that at first, he really feels happy hearing about it from people, but for this interview, he feels quite troubled by it. He somehow manages to laugh a bit with the question, but in the end, he says that things were going well, and so was his salary. The next big question was when the game was coming out. Again, Sakurai just laughed and mentioned that the game could be out sometime 2007, but added “But that’s what I’ve been saying before, haven’t I?” So, up ‘til now, there hasn’t been any clear indication when the game will definitely be out.

Kojima was conducting the interview yet he also didn’t reveal much about the extent of his participation in the development of the game. The boys definitely left their fans hanging in this one.

At the end of the show, the hosts of Hidechan Radio mentioned that big names of the gaming industry have convened in TGS, not only to talk about games, but also for a grand master plan of producing a Japan game concert much like Play. Naturally, Hidechan Radio gets dibs on the Metal Gear end, but we have to wait and see what are the other plans for this coming game music concert.

Pre-Order: [Super Smash Bros. Brawl]
